Pension plan funding-Accessing the resources you deserve Financing your pension plan just got easier thanks to monetary assistance available from Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). At CINUP, we work to coordinate funding under the Band Employee Benefits (BEB) program that can be put to use by your organization. The BEB program offers up to 10.2% of qualified gross salaries for all eligible staff to fund both Canada Pension (CPP) and private pension plans. If you currently contribute to CPP, the 10.2% will be allocated as follows:
If you do not wish to contribute to CPP, the maximum funding for private pension contributions is 5.5% of qualified gross salaries. In order to qualify for BEB funding at the full 10.2% level, all enrolled employees must contribute to the pension plan. Additionally, the organization as a whole must determine a contribution level for all enrolled employees. As an organization rewarding its employees with an effective way of building their retirement savings, it's only fair you get rewarded as well. With INAC funding, you get just that.
